Almost 8 weeks!

Hi everyone!

So, William will be 8 weeks old on Sunday! I can't believe it...he is getting so big! For the most part he is a great baby. He's starting to be awake much more during the day, which includes a lot more fussiness in the afternoon. Some mom's I know call this the "witching hour." But he has also started sleeping longer at night! yay! For the past few nights instead of waking up every two hours, he has been sleeping for 3.5 to 4 hours at a time!

His two month appointment is February 9th. He will be getting his vaccinations :( Maybe David won't desert me...he won't even go with me to get Layla's shots!

1 month today!

I can't believe William is already 1 month old! He is growing every day!

He is doing well. We had his first appointment with the pediatrician when he was only 4 days old. He weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces. We went back the next day to make sure he didn't continue to lose weight, and he didn't! He weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces. What a relief - I think all mothers worry about their babies losing too much weight. When we went back for his 2 week checkup, he weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces! He definitely met and exceeded his goal of getting back to his birth weight of 7 pounds 2 ounces...which surprised me because he spits up so much! The pediatrician put him on medicine for acid reflux :( But he doesn't seem to be as cranky when he spits up, so I'm glad it's making him feel better! We are very blessed that he's such a healthy baby!

We had his pictures taken when he was just over a week old. Sarah did such a great job! Here are a few of my favorites!

Mostly people say he looks like David! He definitely has brown eyes like his daddy, but I think he at least got my nose! Whoever he looks like, I think he is the cutest thing in the whole world :) I definitely feel like my life has been turned upside down, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! I'm pretty sure he's the only person who could wake me up every two hours, and I still love him like I do ;)
