Toes in the water, toes in the sand...

This past weekend we went to Myrtle Beach with the Pratt's! We had such a great time! William did a great job on his first vacation. Here he is being a big boy and holding his own bottle on the way down.

We had an ocean front hotel, and it was so nice to sit on the balcony and listen to the ocean.

Our first night in Myrtle Beach we went out to dinner - Japanese, David's choice :) It was a lot of fun, and the food was great! Look, a rice heart just for David!

And of course, no beach trip with the Ashley and Jason is complete without Krispy Kreme! David is trying to train William early...

The resort also had really great pools, including 2 lazy rivers and a water slide! We actually spent most of our time at the pools instead of on the beach!

William is ready to chill by the pool!

Notice I said "by the pool" because William wanted nothing do with being in the pool. Every time we dipped his toes in, he just poked his bottom lip out. I kinda figured he wouldn't like the pool, considering how much he hates taking baths, but I was trying to be optimistic. Oh well, guess I don't have a "water-baby" :) Even if he's not enjoying it, I got his first time in the pool on camera so all of you could see his pouty lip for yourselves.  Note: David acts like the water is cold, but the pool is actually heated.

The next day, I thought if I'd let the baby enjoy the float on "dry land", he may also enjoy it in the water - wrong again.

Happy!

Sad :(

He did enjoy lounging by the pool in the shade!

Everyone else enjoyed the water slide!  It was a lot of fun, and a little scary!  But that didn't stop Annecy and Livia!

Jason and David - who made the bigger splash!?

Annecy loved holding the baby.  She's going to be a great babysitter!

What a cutie!

Here's a family picture on the beach!

On our way back, we stopped in Wilmington to see one of my best friends, Heather.  William was excited to meet his Aunt Heather!

Our trip was so much fun!  It was hard to come back.  Thanks to Ashley and Jason for inviting us!

Happy Mother's Day!

This was my first Mother's Day! It was nice to be able to go to Clinton and be with my family, but I did miss David. He had to stay in Fuquay and work :(

I just wanted to say how blessed I am to be William's mommy! He has completely changed my life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! I look forward to all the Mother's Days to come!

I also wanted to tell my Mom how much I love her, and how thankful I am for everything she's done for me! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful woman and example in my life!

Also, thank you Mrs. Jackie for everything you do for us, and for raising such a great guy to be my hubby :)

To all the wonderful mothers out there...Happy Mother's Day!!!

Surprise!

My parents both turned 50 a couple of weeks ago, so we (my sisters and I) wanted to do something special for them. The "something special" was to surprise them at the church's pig-pickin' with an awesome cake and slide show/video from Spencer. They were definitely surprised!

Here is the cake that my sister's made. Of course, I was there for support ;)

Happy 50th Birthday Mom and Dad! We love you!!!

Game Night!

We and a group of our friends try to get together from time to time for game night! This past week, we had game night at Keever's house - which was great because we were able to see her house for the first time! It was also the first time William was in attendance at game night! He just loved all of the attention! Thanks Melissa! We had a great time!

5 Months!

William is officially 5 months old as of May 6th! It's hard to believe that it's been 5 months since he was born. He gets cuter every day! He's still chewing on everything - see the "Billy Goat" post. Here are a couple of more things we've caught him trying to eat :)

The toys that hang from his bouncy seat. Look how far he's pulling himself up! He also does this in his car seat, but he can't reach it because he's strapped in!

When he plays on his play-mat, it's only a matter of time before he turns over and tries to lift himself up to chew on the toys.

He's rolling all over the place! I tried to catch him on camera, but for some reason, he knows when I'm watching! haha! Well, here is the end of a roll!

He now only sleeps on his tummy or his side. Here are a couple of cute pics of him sleeping! The butt in the air is my favorite!

A few things he's been up to lately... he loves to laugh at his daddy! Just the past few days, he's started trying to make "raspberries" with his tongue! It's so funny - he hasn't quite got it yet, but he really tries to do it when he sees us do it (Thanks Aunt Kristy)! He's also been trying some new foods this week - avocado and squash! He likes the squash, but isn't too sure about the avocado. Here he is trying the avocado...which was the first thing he had tried besides rice cereal.

Now here he is only a few bites later...

We just love everything about our little man, and look forward to all the fun and exciting things he'll start doing in the coming months!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!

Dear Grandma,

Happy Birthday!
I hope you have a wonderful day!  I love you!

Love,
William

Billy goat!

William is really on the move now!  He can roll just about anywhere!  The other day, I left him on the living room floor while I went into the kitchen.  I was probably gone for about a minute.  When I came back, this is what I found...

I promise I feed him!

Putt-Putt!

Saturday we went to Frankie's Fun Park to celebrate David's birthday!  We played putt-putt and then went to Pei Wei!  We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed spending time with our family!

The boys!

Thanks for such a great night everyone!  It was nice to have some time away from the children!

Museum of Natural Science

David, William and I went to the Museum of Natural Science this past Friday.  It was a lot of fun to spend the day together as a family.

First we went to Armadillo Grill - one of our favorite places to eat.  We don't get to eat there as often since we moved from Chapel Hill.  It was a really nice day out, so we were able to eat outside.  It was great to be downtown Raleigh on such a beautiful day!  haha...those shoes make his feet look really big!

William slept for the most part while we were at the museum, but he woke up for a few pictures.  Who knows...maybe he likes dinosaurs!  My camera's battery was dying, so we had to turn it on and snap really fast...that's why the pictures aren't very good.

We finished the day with a trip to Cameron Village, where we treated ourselves to some Goodberry's! Yum!
