Happy Father's Day!!!

This Father's Day, David had to work all weekend. So, we didn't really get to spend much time with him. But we were able to go to Clinton and see William's grandpas and great grandpa! We are so thankful to have such great fathers in our lives, and for a Heavenly Father who has blessed us so.

I'm so grateful for David. He is so great with William, and William just LOVES his daddy! No one can make him smile or laugh as easy as David can - not even me! We love you so much, and don't know what we'd do without you!


I also want to let my Daddy know how much I appreciate him and how much he has done for me! I wouldn't be the person I am today without you. I love you!


Also, thank you to John for always being there for us! We really appreciate it!

On the Move

It won't be long before William is crawling! Here is a little video from today. He would only scoot for the dog toy...of course. Poor Layla...she doesn't stand a chance once he starts crawling!

Party Animal

Because we had such a long day on Saturday, William decided to take a nap from 6:30 to 9:00 Sunday evening. Then he was wide awake and very happy til 11:00! So, I thought I'd get a few pictures of him smiling big in his new PJ's.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

William had a busy day this past Saturday.  We woke up early to meet Sarah, Devin and Delainey at the Duke Gardens to get William's 6 month pictures taken, and then we went to Elmo's for breakfast!  It was a lot of fun seeing the Gilreath's, and we are really excited for Sallie to get here!  For those of you who don't know Sarah, she is expecting baby girl #2 July 3rd!

Then a little later that day, we went to Greensboro to see Uncle Jason.  We had a lot of fun eating pizza at Mellow Mushroom before we went to see the Grasshoppers game!  Even though the Grasshoppers didn't win, we enjoyed spending time with Uncle Jason!  William was even so good, we were able to stay for the whole game!

Who knows...maybe I have a little baseball player on my hands!

6 Months Old!

Sunday, June 6 was William's Half Birthday! I can't believe he is already 6 months old. I can't imagine my life without him! He's such a good baby and sweet spirit. We are so blessed to have him!

We had his 6 month checkup on Monday, and the numbers are in...

Weight: 13 pounds, 5 ounces < 3%

Length: 25 1/2 inches 20%

Head: 16 1/4 inches 3%

He's basically fallen off the chart for weight. After asking us a lot of questions, the doctor said his gut says his low weight isn't a problem. He said he thinks he probably burns the calories faster than he can get them in because he is such a wiggle worm! He's always on the move! We've also started supplementing with formula this week. So, maybe that will help him start putting on some weight. We're going back in a month for another weigh-in. Even though he doesn't weigh much, the doctor still said he had thunder thighs! Haha - his thighs are definitely his chunkiest feature :)

Developmentally, he is doing great! Here he is putting his foot in his mouth.

And here he is sitting up! He's not doing this regularly. I've actually never seen him do it all on his own, but of course he'll do it for Daddy.

He's been starting to "scoot". It won't be long before he's crawling! Looks like it's time to start baby-proofing! In the beginning of the video I caught him scooting a little, and you also get to hear his fake cough that he does all the time!

At 6 months, William enjoys rolling...everywhere. He likes to chew on his toys, and anything else he can reach. He thinks Layla is hilarious. He's very ticklish...especially his ribs :) I just love to hear him laugh! He's eating lots of things now - peas, apple sauce, squash, prunes. His favorite is probably pears, and his least favorite is peaches, but he seems to like them more and more with each try. He still hates baths, but is really cute in his duckie towel!

Memorial Day Weekend

Well, I guess we went to the beach last weekend, so this weekend it was time for some work!  John came by to help us out with our yard.  We got a new mailbox (because someone ran over ours), a new hydrangea ,and just cleaned up a lot of stuff!  I think they look great!  Thank you so much for all the help!

We also went to a baseball game with Kristy, Adam, the kids, Beth and Joseph.  It was a little too hot and sunny to sit in our seats, so I sat in the shade with William near the gates.  Even though we didn't get to see much baseball, we still had a great time!

Also, we had a great time at the Harbertson's Memorial Day Cookout!  Thanks for inviting us!  The food was good, and the company was great!

Clarkson and Campbell

This past week we were able to go eat ice cream with the Bryan family.  Here are a few cute pics of Clarkson and Campbell.

Here's David running to the rescue after Clarkson cranked his truck!  That would have been a nice news story: local officer let 3 year old drive his truck!

This week Clarkson also went to see his first movie at the theatre - Shrek 4!  He's getting to be such a big boy!  David and I babysat Campbell while they were at the movies.  Here she is in William's bouncy chair.  She also loves getting in his car seat and taking his little baby passy.  

The movie didn't get over until after both our bedtimes :)
