Stair Master

William can officially climb stairs! He had his first go at it on Wednesday. He crawled to the stairs, and I followed him to see what he would do. Then to my surprise, he climbed up two steps! Here is a video of one of his first attempts (sorry so long). Today, he made it about half way up in just a few short moments. Time to start looking for a playpen or baby gate!

Also...Army crawling is for babies! No more army crawling for William. He has now realized that he can go much faster on his hands and knees! He's getting to be such a mover...he even graduated to the "Little Cruiser" diapers this week!

He was also really happy to meet my good friend, Beth Self, today! I forgot to get a picture, but will be sure to get one next time! We had a great time hanging out - Congratulations to Beth and Drew on your engagement!

"Bababaaaa"

William is a pro now at pulling up on furniture, well, on anything he can get his hands on! A couple of days ago, I heard William playing in his crib after his nap. When I went in to check on him, he was standing straight up looking at me! Looks like it's about time to lower the mattress!

He's also become quite the loud mouth. "Bababa" and his newest trick, raspberries, is all we've heard the past couple of days! Even though both of these noises result in a lot of slobber/spit, we don't mind because it's just so cute!

I can't keep up!

With William that is...he is doing something new everyday now!

He's been crawling, well army crawling, for a while now, but I realized I haven't really put up any videos. So, here he is playing with Layla and Daddy.

This week, he started clapping! It is so cute!

And just today, he started pulling up! Yesterday, he pulled up on the couch just to his knees, and today he pulled up all the way to his feet! Of course, he did it while David was here, and I was not :( Here he is pulling up on Mommy - not the most flattering angle, but it's the only video or picture I have so far.

I can't believe how fast he's growing! He's learning and doing new things all the time!

Happy Birthday - Japanese Style

We all went to Kanki to celebrate Beth's and Joseph's birthdays!  It was great getting together with everyone.

Happy 7th Month-day!

Believe it or not - William is 7 months old!  We had his weigh in appointment yesterday, and he weighed a big 

15 pounds, 4 ounces!

Ok, so he's still small, but he gained almost 2 whole pounds in one month, and he's back on the charts!  Yay!  The doctor said that was great!  

In other news...William still isn't crawling, but he can "army crawl" anywhere he wants to go - which is almost always somewhere he shouldn't be.  He's definitely my little monkey - always on the go, curious, and mischievous!  Some of his favorite "naughty" things include - finding the computer cord and trying to eat it, playing with the dog toys, trying to push all the buttons on the the VCR and XBOX, and tormenting Layla.  He's not always naughty though ;)  He's actually a great baby!  He's really happy - smiling and laughing at everything and everybody!  He's sitting up like a pro now, and he's getting better and better at transitioning from sitting to crawling.  He's also finally in 6 month clothing!  Even though I'm happy he's growing, it was still kinda sad to pack his little clothes away :(  I can't believe it has already been 7 months. He'll be a year old before I know it!

I just love that smile!

Happy 4th of July!

We were able to get with my family this past weekend to celebrate the 4th!  Mmm...hot dogs and home-made ice cream!

David's new toy!

...well, new to us. We bought a riding lawn mower couple of weeks ago when the push mower stopped working.  David was very excited. Hopefully this means the grass will get mowed more often :)

Of course Layla had to try it out too!

David also got a new pair of boots for work - Campbell thought she'd break them in for him!
