Growing up!

William is getting to be such a big boy!  He's been doing all sorts of new things...

like reading books all on his own!

taking his first steps! (Sorry for the crying, but it was the first time I could get it on video)

and rolling his tongue (well, at least trying)!

mmm...Lemons?!

William and I went to a birthday lunch for Kaila and Melissa last week.  Kaila's Birthday was November 7 and Melissa's Birthday was November 14, and William and I just wanted to with them a

Happy Birthday!!!

Here are the birthday girls!

At lunch, I decided to see how William would react to a lemon.  I know, it wasn't very nice, but he actually really liked it!  I even tasted it to see if it was even sour because he seemed to like it so much, and it was.  It was actually awful.  I can't get him to eat his applesauce, but he has no problems eating a lemon!

All I Want to do is Dance!

Campbell came over one night while Kristy and Adam took Clarkson to a hockey game.  She and William had a good time dancing and playing together!

11 months old!

Happy 11 month day to William!  He's getting to be such a big boy! So big in fact, he thinks he can escape everything!  He breaks out of "baby jail" all the time.  He has also started climbing out of this table seat and getting on top of the table...even when he's buckled in!  I better be careful, next it will be the car seat!

He's also getting more and more like his daddy.  This is what I came home to one day last week.  David grabs his head and yells "what?!" and the baby copies him.  He thinks it's hilarious.  I must admit, it is pretty funny.

He's also getting quite bouncy!  He starts dancing when he hears music, and will start kicking his legs to bounce if you are holding him.  Here he is getting a workout on the excersaucer!

William has been cutting a lot of teeth lately.  As of now, he has 1 on top and 3 on the bottom.  This means a lot of waking up in the middle of the night, and biting everything!  Hopefully this teething thing won't last much longer!  He does enjoy using them to eat more like mommy and daddy.  Some of this favorites include cheese, bread, pretzels, cheerios, and anything on our plates!  Here he is after finishing a "biter biscuit" - what a mess!

William still isn't walking yet, but he has been able to stand up on his own for a while now.  He's been brave enough to try taking one step, but just a couple of times, and so far it has resulted in landing on his rump.  So, I'm sure it won't be long before he is up on two feet!  He's also able to get on and off the couch all on his own now.  He's quite the little monkey!  He thinks he can climb anything!

As you all know, William is still practically bald, but David can still find a way to mess up his hair and try to create mohawks!  Look closely...it's there!

I can't believe he'll be 1 year old a month from today!  He's always so sweet and most of the time well-behaved.  Sometimes he can be a bit moody...must get that from his Daddy ;)  Moody or not, we love him!

A little piece of Disney

Kristy and Adam took Clarkson and Campbell to Disney World a few weeks ago, and we just wanted to say Thank You for bringing us back a little piece of Disney!

More Special Dates

I'm a little behind on mentioning some important dates.  First...

Happy Birthday Kristy!

Kristy's birthday was October 14th, but because my family never celebrates birthdays on time, we just went out for her birthday dinner celebration this past weekend.  We went to McCormick and Schmick's.  We had a great time!

William had a good time too!

We even saw our friend's Melissa and Phil!  Phil's birthday is actually the same day as Kristy's!

Happy Birthday LG!

Mrs. Jackie's birthday was October 23rd, and William was so happy to spend the day with her!  They went to their Church's Fall Festival where William rode a little pony!

Happy Anniversary John and Jackie!
John and Jackie's wedding anniversary was November 3rd.  They have been happily married for 31 years!

Happy Halloween!

So we didn't actually take William Trick or Treating on Halloween, but he did get to help Daddy pass out candy!

We also had some friends come over and eat with us before they went Trick or Treating.  How cute are they?!

Tim, Cindy, and Emma

Scary Field Drive!

David and I went to Lauren and Casey's Halloween Party this past weekend!  It was great!

We had scary critters and creepy crawlers to eat...

spooky decorations...

and of course, great costumes!

Melissa and Phil (Hugh Hefner and his Bunny)

The pirates, minus their parrot

Beth and Bryant (Ghetto Superstars)

Kaila and Matt (Miss Scarlett and Professor Plum)

Lauren and Rosie (Dorothy and Todo)...and a jealous Dixie

Casey (Gaylord "Greg" Focker/Male nurse)

and Dixie (Lil' Devil)

And the winners of the costume contest are....
David for best guy costume and Kaila for best girl costume!

What a great party!  Thanks Lauren!

Trunk or Treat!

Our church had a Trunk or Treat at South Park in Fuquay for Halloween!  In the past, I have not been much for Halloween, but I have to admit it was fun to do a family costume this year!  We were a family of pirates, complete with a parrot!

Believe it or not, I actually made William's costume!  I think it turned out pretty good.  I must say, he's the cutest parrot I've ever seen!

There was a Chili Cook-Off at the Trunk or Treat, and David was elected to be a judge.  What is funny about this, is that David doesn't like Chili!  But he was a good sport and tried them all anyway...I was so proud :)

Here's William's friend, Charlie!  He didn't know what to think about all those feathers.

Campbell and Clarkson - how cute!

Happy Halloween!
