Boo-boo and Christmas ornament

Here is David and William showing off his ornament that Grandma got him before putting it on the tree!  He's also showing off the nice bruise he has on his head from the car door :(

Here's a close up...of both!

Christmas at Granny's!

On Christmas Eve, we went to Granny's and had her famous shrimp for lunch!  It's always great to see Granny and the rest of the family!

William was helping Granny pass out the presents!

Christmas at the Sworley's!

We look forward to Lauren's Christmas Party every year!  Last year, William was born just a few days after her party!  This year, William joined in the fun.  Here he is with our wonderful hostess!

Beth, Dixie, and William - he loved Beth's Christmas Bell necklace!

William's new friend, Shea!

Beth gave all of us girls a luggage tag with our initial on it!  William sure enjoyed it!  I know I can't wait to use it for our trip to New York!!!

We always do White Elephant gifts, but William is so spoiled by his "Aunties", he got his very own presents!

Lauren and Casey always pick out some great games for us to play!  David and I actually won the first one - woo hoo!  The games included:  stack glasses on top of Christmas ornaments, put the boxes in order based on how many bells were inside, and transfer 4 ft of ribbon from one yardstick to another without using your hands!

I love my girls!  Apparently we forgot to get a picture of the boys...oops!

Thank you to Casey and Lauren for a great party!

Meadow Lights

Every year since I can remember, my family has gone to Wilmington for Christmas to see the Big Tree.  This year, you weren't allowed to actually go see the tree.  I think they are trying to renovate it. So, as sad as it was, we decided to do something else that we used to do a lot as children - go see the Lights at Meadow.

When we were kids, you just drove through streets to look at the houses.  Now, they have a train you ride through all the decorations.  William, Campbell and Clarkson loved it!  Even though it was freezing outside, we had a really good time.  Then of course we had to go to The Store to get some old fashioned candy...yum!

One Year Pictures!

We met our friend, Sarah, in downtown Raleigh for pictures Saturday.  Even though it was freezing, and the baby was sick, she still got good shots!  She's amazing.  Here are the few she chose for the preview!

Thank you Sarah!  We can't wait to see the rest!

1st Birthday Party!

William had such a great birthday with all of his favorite people there to celebrate with him!  He wasn't feeling his best, but he really behaved well!  He had already had a busy day.  We woke up early to meet Sarah in Raleigh for his 1 year picture shoot at 8am (pictures to come), and he had been running a fever since the day before.  But even though he was a little sick and tired, he didn't have any meltdowns and was thrilled to see all of his best friends :)

The theme for his party was sock monkeys!  I'm usually not very crafty, but I had a great time making all of the decorations for the party!

Cupcake Tower!  Yum!

Favors for the kids - sock monkey ornaments!

Our wonderful guests!

Time for Cake! ...well, cupcake :)

William must be really loved!  Look at all the great stuff he got at his birthday party!  He's really been having a lot of fun with everything!

We just want to thank everyone so much for sharing this special day with us!  We love you all!

Bath Time!

It must be a birthday miracle!  After making such a mess with his birthday cupcake, we obviously had to give William a bath.  This is usually a dreaded time for all.  He absolutely hates the water.  Normally, he stands up, holds on to the side of the bathtub, and screams the whole time his feet are in the water.  But on his birthday, something amazing happened.  We sat him in the water, and there were no protests, no tears...just a happy William playing with his toys in the bathtub!  I didn't know my wishes were supposed to come true on his birthday!

Yay for happy bath time!
