22 weeks!

I am 22 weeks pregnant today!  I can't believe I am over half way there!  I've been feeling pretty good. Just getting bigger by the day!  Sorry about not taking baby bump pics - I've been kind of slack.  Here is a picture at 20 weeks, and I'll be sure to post a more recent pic soon.  

Everyone says I've really "popped" this past week.  I definitely feel like I'm getting huge!  My back is also feeling the pain of my growing belly.  It is my only complaint these days.  Maybe I'll look into seeing a chiropractor...

I'm feeling the baby move more and more, and these past couple of weeks, David has been able to feel him too!  Just the past couple of days, the kicks have been strong enough to see!  I still can't believe William is going to be a big brother soon!  Boy, do I have a lot to do before November! 

19 Months!

William's 19 month day was this past week.  I can't believe he is getting so big!  He is starting to say a few more words.  In addition to Layla, mama, and dada, he says ball, yep, cheese! (for pictures), and apparently he'll say apple at Kaylee's house.  I think he is understanding a little more that something is up with Mommy's belly.  If we ask him where the baby is, he'll come over and give my belly a hug and kiss.  It's so cute!  Does this mean he really knows a baby's coming?  I don't know...hopefully he'll get the idea in the next few months :)  He also will fold his arms for prayer now, and when we say "Amen," he throws his hands in the air or claps!  Well, here is a picture of William ready for church last week!  What a big boy!

Happy 4th at the Lake!

Lauren's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Suggs, were kind enough to let us come to their 4th of July celebration!  We always have a great time at the lake, and it had been way too long since we had been for a visit!

Due to the lack of rain and hot weather, everyone was advised not to swim in the lake, but that didn't stop everyone from having fun...and getting wet!  Here is William enjoying the water slide next door!  He loved it!

At the end of the day, we were able to watch the fireworks.  They were beautiful to watch over the lake!  

William enjoyed the fireworks, but was definitely ready for bed after a long day of fun!

Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday Beth and Joseph!

For the 4th of July, my family loves to get together and have homemade ice cream (thanks mom!).  We were also celebrating Beth and Joseph's birthdays!

After we ate and had ice cream, we went to a Durham Bulls game.  We had a great time and the fireworks were amazing...even if the Bulls didn't win!  William was great during the fireworks - he didn't seem scared at all...yay!

What a great day!  I'm so thankful for our country and for those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedoms!

Congratulations Melissa & Phil!

Our friends, Melissa and Phil were married June 25th at the Duke Chapel.  The wedding was beautiful and we all had a great time at the reception!

What a great wedding!  We had a wonderful time, and the party didn't end there!  We went over to Kaila's for some Just Dance fun!  Hilarious!  I'm so thankful for great friends!

Baby Boy #2!

David and I were able to see our baby on Tuesday...finally!  It always amazes me how much you can see on an ultrasound.  The ultrasound technician was was taking all the measurements and showed us the heart which was beating 154 beats per minute.  Then, she showed us what we had been waiting for!  As soon as I saw it, I said "that's the boy shot right there, isn't it?" And she confirmed, "Yes, it's a boy!"  We are very excited for William to have a brother!  

She said that everything was just perfect.  He was measuring 19 wks 3 days, and I was 19 wks 2 days.  He was moving around a lot and kept putting his hand around his face, like William did during his ultrasound.

And here is a 3d picture of his face.  I think it looks a lot like William's picture when we had this ultrasound done with him at 18 weeks!

Who knows...maybe all babies look the same this early :)  It was great to finally see the baby, and knowing it will be a boy just makes it seem much more real!  I'm glad David is able to come with me to my appointments - especially this one.  It's great to see how excited he is for this little one!  Now that we know we're having a little boy, we can really start thinking about names (which we already have one in mind) and how we're going to decorate!
